April 2021 – Play run
Our fully enclosed play area is used for exercising all the dogs in our care, whether they are boarding or just with us for the day.
It’s fully equipped to cater for all ages and breeds and gives the dogs the opportunity to have fun and games as well as a good old run around!
an A-frame, 2 tunnels, a walk-over and jumps which helps to provide mental stimulation as well as physical exercise.
July 2020 – Completion of the Cattery
Our Cattery is now open, the pictures below show the project from start to
finish! There are 10 individual pens in the Cattery, all with a 2 level sleeping compartment (beds can be provided), ladder and cat flap for entry to the sleeping compartment, scratching post, a variety of toys and a litter tray.
The Cattery is fully insulated and there is heating for the colder months.
There are external French doors and a window for natural light and each pen also has independent lighting if required.
30 June 2020 – Trudie Edwards is continuing with her studies
Trudie is continuing with her studies and has now achieved Certificates in
1. Stray & Feral Welfare Management.
2. Introduction to Being A Dog Trainer.
6 June 2020 – Kennel and Cattery Certificates = Sam Stone
It’s been a horrible day outside today, we have no fur guests over the weekend so Sam has had a break from improvements outside and stayed in today to carry out some of her studying, she is pleased to say she has achieved a certificate in the following:
1. Animal Care Certificate
2. Cat Behaviour Certificate
3. Cattery Business Certificate
4. Feline Care Certificate
5. Kennel and Cattery Management Certificate

17th May 2020 – Cattery and Feline Care Certificates = Trudie Edwards
Trudie has completed four Cattery and feline care certificates

11th May 2020 – Pet Nutrition Diploma = Trudie Edwards
Trudie has completed her Pet Nutrition Diploma. She has thoroughly enjoyed learning about the nutritional requirements of our pets and the impact they have on their behaviour as well as their health.
24th April 2020 – Pet Psychology Diploma = Trudie Edwards
30 hours of reading, 60 pages of notes, 4 assignments, 1 final test and I’ve done it, my Pet Psychology Diploma is complete! 😀🎉❤️🐾
It was hard work but absolutely fascinating and I’m so pleased I’ve done it. It’s such a good feeling to have an even deeper understanding of dogs (and cats) behaviour, instincts, communications and emotions. ❤️🐕🐈
20th April 2020 – Kennels Roof & Floor
We have put new roofing up over the outside kennel runs. They are now sloped rather than flat which will be much easier to keep clean.
The floor of the outside runs has also been renovated. It will now be much easier to keep clean and dry.
13 April 2020 – Reception
The reception area has been given a fresh coat of paint and is looking very
smart!
1 April 2020 – Cattery Build
Our Cattery build is near completion! As with the kennels, the Cattery is fully insulated and also heated for the colder months. There are different levels for the cats to sit/lay on and a ladder up to the sleeping compartment, all of the pens will also have a scratching post. We will add further pictures as soon as all the finishing touches are complete.

We are very pleased to let you all know that after LOTS of very hard work, our play area for the dogs is now finished. It’s a lovely area for the dogs to run and play off lead, especially now we are enjoying some nice weather! The pictures show the changes from when we first moved in up to today.

Our new resin floor in the kennels is now complete! It looks and feels so much better and is certainly more hygienic than concrete or tiles. We are very pleased with the results and we are sure our guest will be too!

Congratulations to our Manager, Trudie, who has completed her Diploma in Canine Communication. Keen to continue learning about our four-legged friends, she is now studying for a Diploma in pet Psychology.
4 February 2019, Awarded a 5 star licence
We are very pleased to announce that we have been awarded a 5 star licence (the highest standard) by Braintree District Council. Having only been open for 6 months, we are extremely proud of what we have achieved and we are looking forward to making further improvements/additions to our facilities this year.
6 January 2019, Reception area
We have made further improvements to our reception area in the last couple of weeks. As you can see from the pictures, it’s come a long way over the last few months! We’ll keep you updated we the further improvements we intend to make.

Due to our ongoing improvements to the kennels, we will be closed from Tuesday 5th to Sunday 10th February 2019 whilst we have new resin flooring installed. We have chosen the high-spec resin flooring as it is non-slip, non-toxic and does not harbour any bacteria or other pathogens (you will have seen resin flooring in your pet’s vet surgery). We apologise for having to close for a few days but it’s not a quick process and we are sure you will all be pleased with the results!
