Paws and Claws Boarding Kennels and Cattery offer excellent accommodation for your pets while you are away, whether it be a short break or whilst away on holiday.

We are situated on the Colchester Road in Braintree – We have an acre of land but we also have plenty of Essex countryside around us where we can walk your dogs during their stay.

Paws and Claws is a new, family run business which was formed in April 2018 and is licensed by Braintree District Council.  We aim to provide the very best for your pets whilst they attend their holiday home in Braintree Essex.

We offer a large range of food for both dogs and cats, or you are welcome to bring your own (we do not stock prescription foods).  We understand that all pets feeding requirements are different and we are happy to feed them according to their usual routines (being fed once or twice a day, at set times etc).  Any medication that your pet requires can be administered during their stay free of charge.

The Kennels and Cattery will be cleaned at least twice a day as we feel a cleanliness is very important, the dogs will have plenty of exercise either running free in the doggie play pen or out on a lead across the fields.

The kennels and surrounding areas are covered by recorded CCTV, we also have motion lights with sensors around the kennels and surrounding area.

The kennel blocks are insulated for the colder months and heating is provided when required at no extra cost (including individual heat lamps in each kennel unit).

We understand that choosing the correct Kennels or Cattery for your pets stay is an important decision so we welcome you to pay us a no obligation visit to help you make the right decision, no appointment is necessary, you are welcome anytime.

Remember when you bring you dog(s) or cat(s) you must bring the up to date vaccination cards, we would also recommend that your dog(s) are protected against contagious bronchitis (Kennel cough) but this must be administered a minimum of 28 days prior to your dog(s) coming to the kennels.
